“This third volume of the I Quaderni di Sanguis Jovis series journalizes the results of the first four research Grants, promoted and financed by Fondazione Banfi.

The papers in this journal take on topics which are set along an ideal line from the vineyard to the glass:

• the work by the research team led by Leila Caramanico examines the vineyard which is confronting the dramatic issue of climate change;
• from the vineyard to distribution: Francesca Negri conducted a formidable exploratory study on the quality of the wines present on the shelf of chain stores;
• the innovative work of the research team led by Costanza Nosi takes us to the international markets, shifting the focus to the storytelling of Sangiovese in a digital environment;
• last, but not least, the fascinating leap into applied neurosciences which the team coordinated by Patrizia Cherubino e Giulia Cartocci allowed us to achieve.

Four projects which explore the multidisciplinary aspects of wine and attest to the importance of the cultural proposal of Sanguis Jovis – Alta Scuola del Sangiovese.”
